Hi All

New to forum, i have had a property in Camposol for nearly a year, i come over from the UK for circa 3 months a year, i have a roof full of Solar panels and a meter that tells me it generates up to 1500w when the sun is out, however what i dont know is where the energy goes, into the grid or house, do i get any benefit? need some advice please

Is it connected to the grid ?

Have a look at your electric bill & see if there is any mention of solar power generation on it.

Then you are probably not connected to the grid.

That number of panels should generate around 10 kw total per day in the height or the summer.

That figure of 1500 w is probably the panel output at the time you are looking at the display.

If the panel output is not going to the grid then it is being used in the property.

If you have the manual for that inverter then you could find the daily generation of your panels by pressing a few buttons.

If your house supply is a 5kw supply then a bill of 45 euro including standing charge sounds fairly cheap to me particularly if you have a pool.

It would look like your solar panels are offsetting the house electric usage.

This should be a link to the operating manual for your inverter.

Follow the instructions & by various button pushing's you will be able to to find out all your generation figures.

Actual, daily, weekly monthly & various totals.
