Didn't appreciate being thrown out of our Corvera Golf  pool by the security guard the other day.....and also being escorted off premises to the lift.   Degrading and upsetting.

For goodness sake would two 72 year olds sneak into a pool for 20 minutes exercise?    Corvera Golf getting like holiday camp.!!! Wristbands indeed....Hi De Hi. Can I have a pink rubber one?

Hardly any any holiday makers here due to Covid.... NO GOLFERS either.

It seems all the paid staff were informed about wristbands.....but not residents who contribute the money towards it's  upkeep.

Been here for three years and now have had enough ..going back to UK Wednesday.... there is nothing here for us now...used to be relaxing peaceful place...not regimented!!

Not sure who the committee is now....but it seems they want it exclusive to them...

Love our apartment...upset to go....hope all remaining folks are having a better time than us.

Wish you all well...and keep safe.

Hi Maureen

Sorry to hear of your awful experience I’m sure it could of been handled with a bit more dignity🤦‍♀️
I have a holiday home on Corvera too and was given my wristbands by security a couple of years ago when they were introduced. You should of been informed by your community president but by the sounds of it you wasn’t, but what you was meant to do was ask at the security gate for you wrist bands and they would of issued them to you, depending on how many bedrooms you have you are issued wristbands accordingly.

The reason a wristband system has been put in place is because the pools were  being used from non residents and  being abused so this system seems to work quite well, No wristband no entry to the pool.

I can only imagine that you not being informed has been overlooked and you need to be issued your wristbands, I would either track your president down for information or alternatively ask at the security gate.
Hope this helps.

Hi Maureen.

I am also upset for your recent experience.

Before you make any rash decisions, get your paperwork together and get your wristbands sorted.

I am on Roda Golf and we also have a wristband system, which are issued every year.

On Roda if people are behind with community fees etc they don’t get issued wrist bands also as mentioned it stops people using your community pool of which you are paying for but they are not.

So why should you pay for someone’s privileges.

We are also issued with an owners card to verify owner.

I personally don’t put mine on but leave at side of my towel, if Security attend I just show them the band.

I feel it is a good system that’s better that gating off your pool that can only be accessed by key like some places.

I do understand your frustrations, but I think it’s better than having ten screaming kids in the pool that shouldn’t be in there (Nothing against kids but you know where I’m coming from)

Hope this helps as in the not too distant future it will pay dividends for you. At the end of the day, it’s difficult in the uk to just get up and go for a swim in beautiful weather (Most of the time)

You have a more healthy lifestyle over here

Oppps this information has come far far to late...as said by Maureen...they have had enough and are moving back to the UK..such a shame really....

Maureen...I personally whould have moved elsewhere in Spain and not back to Uk...

Hope things work out well for you. 😁😁
