We have just bought a holiday home in Fortuna, and are visiting at Easter for our first stay in new property. The previous owners have been very generous in leaving fittings, and we have only three main items to buy. Outdoor table tennis table, Digital TV and large Garden parasol. Any tips on best local places to buy would be much appreciated.

We use Amazon in the UK, and notice there is a Spanish equivalent. Does anyone have experience of using this - I'm wondering what delivery would be like as we are located up a remote mountain road!

Amazon UK will send some stuff to Spain. If you are looking at an item and are logged in with a Spanish delivery address it will say if the item cannot be delivered here. A lot of Amazon Marketplace sellers will not send their goods here.

I use Amazon.es quite a lot, their Prime membership is a lot less than Amazon UK but there are less films etc available.

For electrical stuff, we have found Mediamarkt to be competitive, they have a large store at the back of La Nueva Condomina, the shopping mall on the northern edge of Murcia city. You can buy online and pick up in store or they will deliver: Mediamarkt.es

Same for Leroymerlin.es (like B&Q) also at La Condomina, and Ikea.es on the other side of the A7.

Decathlon (sports shop) in Murcia has table tennis tables: www.decathlon.es/es/browse/c0-deportes/c1-ping-pong/c2-mesas/_/N-1dj4q3z

Spanish delivery drivers do my head in! As your house is a bit remote, you will almost certainly need to go and meet them in Fortuna itself. In my experience, they rarely speak any English.

Hope this helps.
