Renewing a Spanish medical card

Take it over to your health centre and ask if they have the new card.

You will have to make an appointment with the person in the medical centre that deals with cards, or if lucky they will see you on the day.

You would have to take your old card and an up to date Padron (not over 3 months) fill the form then they will give you a temporary paper stating your card is being renewed than wait patiently about 3 months.

Los Alcazares health centre did not ask for a padron, just gave them the expired cards (which they kept) then they gave us a form that showed our details and that we were having the cards renewed. This was 2 months ago and lo and behold my other half's card came by post today, just mine to go,

Note that you need an appointment, don't just turn up. The nurse at Los Narejos centre sorted the appointment for us and it was a couple of weeks later first available.
