Hi everyone,

We have a holiday home here that we use a lot in the winter and autumn but let out over the summer months. Does anyone know anything about this new tourism licence that we need to get? Any information would be useful, like how much it costs, how essential it is, the process etc.

Thanks in advance,

Helena

Hello it is extremely important to register and go through the holiday rental licencec process. If you get caught renting your property without a registered licence then the fines are massive as it is deemed as tax evation and treated according under Spanish law

You can register the forms and douments yourself or even better ask your Spanish lawyer to do it for you as they can submit documents directly usual cost 100 euros or free if you subscribe for annual legal support.

We did our through our Spanish lawyer and just gave them the necessary details in order to complete the document

Hoping this is helpful to you?

I have just registered my apartment with the tourist board, you can do it yourself or get a professional to do it for you cost about 80-160 euros, once your application is received by tourist board you can start letting, your property will have an inspection although this could take anything up to 6 months or longer, you will also need to register your property with the police and register any guests over 18 years old although I went to do this 10 days ago and was told that yes this is the law but in this area (Torre Pacheco) they are not ar present implementing this law, I have read worse case senario that the fine for non registration has been 90.000 euros.
