Hi we had a similar problem with cockroaches but could not get rid of them. It wasn't until we moved house we found their nest, it was on the back of the sideboard in the lounge!

I always saw them in the kitchen and had the fridge and cooker out looking for the nest, never thought of checking in the lounge. They are clever little blighters!!

Hope you are successful.

Don't take this comment the wrong way.

All vermin / pests need a food source either inside or outside the property.

So don't leave food out, keep rubbish bins inside & outside clean with a lid & empty on a regular basis.

Wash up food utensils & plates etc as soon as they have been used.

Keep food in cupboards in sealed containers.

Block up entry holes into the property.

Favourite places are where pipes enter under the bath / sink / wash basin.

Put some water down sink overflows, keep the plugs in the sinks & washbasins.

Check outbuildings & sheds & under builds.

Make sure manholes on the property & in the street are tight fitting

Spray around doors, windows skirtings etc with a long lasting insecticide on a regular basis.

Spray some down sink overflows & waste outlets.

If there is a problem in the local area check with your neighbours & get in touch will your local councillor.

P.S.

I hate them as well !!

I have my home and garden sprayed every year.  A one bed corner plot costs approx 90 euros guaranteed for a year and worth every penny for peace of mind.
