Legal Service - Not Sun Lawyers

Just to share my experience, I did the same with POA.  My legal people provided a nota simple and deeds in 3 weeks good enough for visa purposes.  It took a bit longer to get the official little book from the notary but I am pretty sure it was all done inside 8 weeks maximum.

I used a little, local property services company on Camposol recommended to me by someone who in fact had them as the opposing solicitor and was correcting his solicitor throughout his purchase process.  I have had immediate appointments at the notary when required, typically within 3 days and just for me.  Sounds like a big company impersonal service to me causing you delays batching things up.

I am not sure but you could contact Anna or Ester at Camposol Property Services to see if they can help you in LA.  I found them to be very good buying locally to them but they know the area, all the local agents and notaries etc so maybe something similar local to LA would be better and they may be able to provide some pointers?

if you are in Los Alcazares/ Narejos go to QML in the 525 square and ditch Sun Lawyers….all sounds very iffy.. I got my escritura or deeds within a few days, you can get a Vado from the town hall within a couple of weeks. Dont forget to cancel your POA too!

What is a Vado?

An official sign to stop people parking outside your gate… or the policía can tow them away!

Vado Permanente is the yellow line across a driveway and the official sign and registration number of the Vado.  This allows you to cross the pathway with your car and also excludes anyone, including the householder, from parking across the drive.  Your car will be impounded if the police are called and it is removed.

Or can tow you away, as a Vado bans anyone from parking in front of your gates.

We used LS Solicitors on 525 for purchase of property, Spanish wills and purchase of car.  They were excellent.  It would be worth contacting them or call into their office to discuss.  Their staff also speak VG English
