Hello everyone. We are coming to los alcazares on May 3 to pick up keys for our new house. We have been searching for places to buy our first household bits and pieces. Been on the Lidl website and they sell more or less all the small things like kettle, toaster, loungers etc. Could someone please tell me if they stock these or is it only online, and then delivery. Also new bedding will be needed on first day so any suggestions would be appreciated.

     Thanks. Mark Reilly

I would definitely go to Yorkshire Linen in San Javier for bedding, towels and much more.  Make sure you measure your beds first as Spanish bed sizes are not always the same as UK sizes.  Here are the details Avda.de la Unión, 98, San Javier, Spain, tel +34 968 19 39 12 or email them on [email protected]    The owner is British and is really helpful.

There are many places to buy small electrical items and outside furniture such as one of the Chinese Todo shops or Euronics in Los Alcazares Euronics Milenio Electrodomésticos, a good· Appliance Shop Av. de la Libertad, 165 · +34 968 17 17 71. Or have a trip out to a great shopping centre called Dos Mares https://dosmaresshopping.com/.

If you haven't already thought about it, why not get a keyholder who will be able to help with info and look after your property when you are not there.

    Good luck.

For bedding and the like, try Uber Hogar in Los Alcazares - more or less opposite Restaurant Ramone.

    Hi

As suggested by others definitely Yorkshire Linen in San Javier and Euronics in Los Alcazares.  Mediterraneo shopping centre nearer Cartagena is also good with Maison de Monte, Leroy Merlin, Primark etc.  In La Zenia there is Conforama whose prices are good and they have a wide selection.

    Hi Mark

I am in same situation. Just finalised in April for house in Balsicas.  I shop for things at Carrefour - love the one at the big mall- in Los Alcazares.  TV, outside fridge, etc.  I am going to buy washer /dryer combo at Millar online.  Beds, etc IKEA Murcia.  My outdoor furniture from Georgina at J. Brinas furniture in San Javier. Tell her I sent you. She would love that, she also like me comes from England.  It is more expensive but quality.  As will be in sun/rain outside wanted to put extra into this.  I love Jysk at the big place outside of Cartegena off motorway.  Have baskets, shelves, accessories, furniture too, love their dining table sets.  Hope this helps.  If you want to liaise further email is [email protected] (Portishead UK)
