Hey- Is Los Nietos a safe place to live? I read an article about house occupation and narcotic league living there- but the article where posted in 2019. I really love that the area is silent and not so busy. But if there is so much criminals there I have to look somewhere else.

Anyone who lives there and which can tell me about their experience?

There isnt any smell there is a bit of rotting sea weed but its cleaned on a regular basis the other areas close by have better beaches but the property are a lot more exspensive

Hello.  I would agree with BoosterUK - have just returned - very peaceful and 'fresh'.

We’ve owned an apartment in the El Saladar complex since June 18.  Haven’t known any issues with any of the locals.  Also the smell as referred to earlier is from rotting seaweed on the beaches and disappears when it is removed.  Natural phenomenon of whole Mar Menor but regular beach gleaning resolves this.

We have owned the apartment since Jul 2019 May/end September very busy the other months are quiet, there aren't many bars restaurants but Los Belones is a 5 min drive which has many bars/Restaurants for the amount of property you can get at such a low price i cant complain and all my Spanish neighbours are really nice and helpful
