I am looking to purchase property for retirement in Los Urrutias but have concerns regarding pollution etc in the light of the recent problems.Can anyone on the site give some advice and guidence.Thanks.Mike

Hi, we live in Los Urrutias and recommend it. Sadly the Mar Menor has been polluted by the run off of nitrates and nitrites from the local farms, but it is not an open sewer! Folks swim and fish in the Mar Menor, in fact they are doing so today! Come and see for yourself. It all depends what you want from a home where you will retire.
