My wife and I have rented a house in Puerto de Mazarrón to spend this coming winter. We would be very grateful for any help, advice and recommendations you might have to enable us to get the most out of our stay.

We arrive on 9th December and leave (sadly) on 25th February.

We are both in our late seventies, and will have our car and our two small dogs with us. We will also have our electric bikes. We have overwintered in Spain before but the Murcia region is totally new to us.

Thanks very much.

Chris

Well the good news is there are I believe 2 maybe 3 dog friendly beaches in the port. You can get buses to Cartagena a lovely historical city.

Depending on the range of your bikes you can cycle to isla plana a lovely small coastal village in fact it's quite flat so cycling is great fun.

Enjoy your stay

In the opposite direction, along flat roads next to the beaches go to Bolnuevo. Photograph the cliff erosions. and enjoy a stop at Bar Oasis for drinks and tapas with open sea views.(dog friendly).

Also - particularly if you are English, and wanting an authentic Christmas dinner, I can recommend Elliot's restaurant Bolnuevo - but book now!
