Mar Menor
We are supposed to be coming to Roldan this week, are there any beaches that survived the gota fria on the Mar Menor

Chris,
Most of the beaches suffered mud pollution and certainly the stretch between Santiago and the Neptuno hotel will be a no go for a while.
The beach round the corner at Lo Pagan had some hardy souls on it though and it appears not to bad.
All beaches suffered some contamination though.
Hope this helps

Hi Chris
We are currently in Lo Pagan. Jim is right, the Santiago stretch is bad although some people were on the beach. The lagoon has been deemed as unsafe and you certainly shouldn’t swim. They are testing the water on Wednesday to check the pollution levels. Keep an eye on Murcia Today, they will update after the check. I would steer clear of the water for a while but the beach itself is fine for sunbathing! Currently 27 here. They are doing a great job with the clean up operation too.
Hope that this helps.
