Hi everyone just a quick one.Does your Itv? Or car tax come to the house the car is registered to?annually? Or do i hafto pay for this a different way when due?.

We downloaded our car tax document & actually paid for it online...I had some guidance on Facebook I will try to find and share it shortly...

Don't wait for anything to come by mail - it has always been random, and if you are late it will be your fault and you will get a fine.

Car tax bills are easy to access online. You can print it off and pay at cash machine or online. Itv date will be on your sticker. Agree dont wait for the bill / reminder. We have not had anything in the post.

tap this link in, IT SHOULD OPEN DUPLICADORECIBOS box, then tap on the next box find and press on I. VEHICULOS TRACCTION, date should be 2021, press on whatever your area is, next box should say annual, next your NIE number for who`s name the car is registered no gaps or hyphens, next registration number, press enviar (enter) and all your details will come up and what you need to pay.Copy your long N28 number and make a note of what you need to pay ready for next page, click on the heavy print in the boxed area

I am also having the same problem. As I changed my car from UK to Spanish registration i have not paid the car tax. (thanks to jean47 for the link but it wont recognise my car, and seems to only work if you are on the system.)
I have tried to ask at the council office in town who just said .. later, later, but did helpful give me a bill for 850 euros for tax on the property I have just bought. I think this is another one to pass to Deb but I am still waiting 5 months for my Spanish driving licence exchange. Thanks to the people who have posted helpful advice on here and Facebook.

Has your residencia not been granted for licence exchange? Ours only took 8 weeks

Hi Mervyn, first of all when did you change to Spanish reg, and in what area? the car tax for 2021 is not due till mid June so don`t panic, we waited about the same length of time for the driving licence so again no panic
