Where should I look to buy in a quiet neighbourhood

We have been considering purchasing in Costa Calida for quite a while now.  We looked at some modern properties which we love, and others, but they are all so close to each other.  We value peace and quiet. Does anyone live in a particularly quiet area they would recommend, or have any suggestions? Thank you.

Apart from quiet, it would help if you provided more information around what you are looking for?

A villa, or apartment? Private pool, communal pool? Will this be a holiday home or are you planning to move permanently? If permanently, now or in the future? Do you want to be close to beaches, or are you 'pool people'? Your profile pic is a lovely mature GSD (I have a 4 year old similar) - would you be bringing him / her with you? Do you want enclosed space for him / her to exercise safely? Do you plan to play golf or any particular sports regularly? Do you want to be close to bars / restaurants, or would you be happy to drive to them? Do you want to be in a mainly Spanish area, a mainly British expat area or a mix (or don't mind). And, most importantly, what is your budget?

Thank you for your reply. My lack of information is that we really do not mind. Our priority is secluded balcony or garden, privacy and peace and quiet. We would like to be within cycling distance of cafes restaurants etc, preferably. Our budget is flexible. I just wondered if any forum members lived in a particular area that had many retirees and found it to be a quiet place to live.  It would be a holiday home initially, but spending as much time in Spain as we can with the Brexit restrictions.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

Anywhere 10 mins inland would give you all that and even right in the coastal towns along the mar menor there are plenty of places that are peaceful as you go further back from the beach. However in summer everywhere along the coast does get busy for two months.

Have a look at Roda village and dolores de pacheco for easy cycling to cafes and restaurants in los alcazares but a little quieter than Los Alcazares itself.

Further up Torre de la horadada is also a great location for cycling and good access to beaches and Pilar de la horadada.

I live in san cayetano which is a nice little village with all the amenities you need, and a good mix of nationalities and plenty of retired people but you would need a car to live here.

You really need to come and explore the area and consider all the points that RichT made.

I will research the area you mention. Torre de la Horadada is lovely. We have spent many winter months all along that coast for quite a few years now so do know the area well. We are going back out this year to look so will hopefully find something we are happy with.

We've lived in Santiago de La Ribera for over 20 years and still appreciate how peaceful and enjoyable the area is plus access in a 15 min radius  to pretty well every kind of shop cafe and restaurant and beaches you can think of. Hope you find what you're looking for,  we feel blessed to have lived happily in Spain for so long.
