I think Ribera is generally a safe place but if you want somewhere a bit quieter then don't go in the area by the statue in the centre of the paseo ...along by the sailing club is good with a really good chiringuito too!!

Hi and thank you for that.I have only been to the beach and i'm not at all familiar with the town. I will be going there again in a few months and will spend my days scouring the streets for the perfect location! Such a lovely place. I fell in love with it on my first visit last year[3 days only].Thanks again!

Try the area called the fisherman’s district near the La Plaza pizza place, you are only a ten minute walk from the beach and 5 mins from the town, la Ribera is generally a safe place especially this part of the town as it is close to the main police station.

we have now moved to Santiago de la ribera.  we r 10 mins walk to the beach.  if we could walk in a straight line we come out slightly left of the yacht club.  it's a big building on the beach that is like a giant catamaran.  I have 2 dogs and feel perfectly safe where everr I walk them even if it's dark.  extremely busy in August.  in Dec jan and Feb there are a few bars and restaurants open so you would feel ok to walk out to them.

Thank you! I certainly will. Having a police station nearby would be great. Thanks again!

Thank you. It's peace of mind hearing that it's so safe. I appreciate your reply.
