Hi, I'm Brenda and I am in the process of moving into my house in Santiago De las Ribera.🔑 Thank you for accepting me on this site.

I'm looking forward to making and meeting friends, learning Spanish, finding out reccomended local tradesmen, best optic fibre/TV options and local activities for ex-pats. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you 😊

Hi Mandy and Lee, lovely to hear that your move went well and on Christmas Eve too. What a lovely present to yourselves. Most of my stuff is in the house and I need to be in properly by the weekend. I've a fair bit of work to do before it will be straight but I am in no rush so will bide my time, explore the area and hopefully make new friends. Do you know if there is a local hangout for us newbies? Brenda

Do you have transport?  There is an expat coffee morning every Monday in Los Alcazares at the Garden Bar at 11:00...some people also from ribera...great way to meet new friends.

We also have a ladies lunch group ...on facebook...LwL Los Alcazares.

There is a Spanish conversation group meets at Horel Trabuco by the Ribera Roundabout on Fridays at 7:00...English and Spanish all levels...very friendly group.

Thank you so much for this info. I do not have transport yet but will definitely get myself to Los Alcazares when I do.

I also intend to visit Spanish class that you mentioned the first Friday in January. Very helpful indeed, thanks again
