A copy of your passport isn't a legal document but if you take your passport into any Notary's office, they can do you a legal "copia compulsada", which is both a legal document and proof of identity.
The OP is not asking about a full size copy they are asking about a reduced size copy.
Presumably to fit in their wallet etc.

We got ours done at the Post Room (sure that's what it is called) at the top of the strip in LA. (on right hand side after hotel as you look down toward the strip)
Agreed, not a legal document, but have used it several times and it is handy credit card size. Cost 5 euro when we got it done.

If you are resident your TIE is a legal identity document.

Hi
You could try the stationer's behind the post office in Santiago La Ribera, they do most things there I recently needed to send a couple of Fax's and they were half the price of the post office, while in there waiting I noticed they did many other services.

Hiya.
Am not sure if you are aware but if you are not a Resident of Spain with a TIE card then you are legally required to carry your full passport at all times.
That's the law. And if you were stopped for any reason and don't have your photo ID you may find yourself in a tricky situation unnecessarily. Just abide by the law is best.

Hi Lesley,
Thanks for your interest, I'm resident, I only want a small laminated version of my passport for convenience i.e. taking delivery of parcels etc where passport is required. I'm now aware of several people who use this version on a regular basis without any problems, for official appointments etc I will always use original.
Regards
