Kevin,

At the Rastro, ask for Andy or Sue, tell them I (Janice Kent) pushed you to go, ha ha, and you will be well looked after.

I’m not sure I will be back ‘home’ for a few weeks yet but I will look you up when I do.

Are you on WhatsApp?

Best wishes and good luck with your purchase xx

Hi Tracey,

You will be surprised how many Brits and Europeans there are in the area. I live in what is called the campo, officially Villena, and not far from Las Virtudes. On the Costa Blanca Forum you might find more people who could point you in the right direction for any queries you may have.

Good luck with your renovations and make sure any workmen are highly recommended before you take them on. We all have horror stories on this subject!

Janice

Hi Kevin

Although you don't see many English about in Yecla i believe there are about 30 couples or more & more arriving. We live in Yecla & are still meeting new English people.

There is a group of English & Spanish who meet up at various events to practice speaking each others language & organise trips & days out.

If you send me a p.m with your mobile no i will pass it on to someone who attends to contact you.

Tony

Hi I know this is an old post , but we are an English couple just moved to Yecla 12 k out side towards Pinoso

Would love to meet up with any English speakers

Also very interested in improving my Spanish

Is this group still going?

Hi,

We are in the process of buying a house in Yecla and I wondered is this forum is still active?

Last comments were a few years back. Are the English and Spanish group still going?

Thanks

Janiene

Hi there,

I am not in Yecla itself but I don’t think that the group still meets up. But I will find out for you and let you know. However there are still lots of English people living in and around Yecla who you are bound to meet when you go shopping!

Also the local Adult Education Centre runs evening courses to learn Spanish so you would meet people there if you decided to subscribe.

Keep in touch

Janice
