I did this with an English rangemaster and it was a very simple job, also there are many videos on YouTube showing how to change them.

It’s a smeg range cooker I’ve brought the new jets,which I can probably change myself 

My main concern is connecting the gas pipe 

I don’t like messing around with gas 

Did you change the gas pipe yourself & was it easy to do

Simple answer yes, in one house I was able to connect directly with the rubber hose If you have a metal pipe maybe the connection could be connected to both.

Again maybe look on you tube often very helpful videos
