There are a million currency companies now one can use...I have tried a few but found the best rate is with OFX, whom I have used a couple of times now.

Shop around is my advice.

Hi, we used this company to buy our place recently.  There is a lady called Claire who helped us and everything was fine.

Yes they are fine, I've been using them for many years.

I have an account with Revolut. I have their app on my phone. I have three currencies at the moment, sterling, euros and dollars, but you can have as many as you like. You can exchange currencies at the tap of a button, at the actual exchange rate at the time, there's no 'best' rate, it's the actual rate. This last week I've kept an eye on the rate and every time it went above 1.20 I exchange £500 for euros. I transfer euros to my Spanish bank account the same way and yes, it really does only take seconds. I've only transferred a few thousand at a time so far, when the time comes when I will want to transfer larger sums I believe there's a small fee. But there's nothing to stop me transferrring smaller amounts now and gradually building up a larger sum in my Spanish bank. It's £5 to get your card and that's it, free from then on. I've had mine for 3 years and it's wonderful. I use it to pay in restaurants, for shopping, to get cash, both in the UK and Spain, it is so convenient. The days of companies charging fees and offering 'best' rates are coming to an end. I suggest you all take a look.

Yes I have used Smart Currency several times including my house purchase. Very professional and very quick. Worth getting an alternative quote though. I have used TorFX and played one off against the other. They can usually match the offer.

TransferWise is the one for me, better rates than them all and transfers in seconds, transfer from an app available too,
