Hi, can anybody recommend a Wood Burning Stove installer or advise if there are any regulations for installation and Fire Safety.

The installation will need to go through two wood ceilings before exiting the roof and therefore will need fire plates in these areas but not sure where these can be purchased.

Any assistance / advice / recommendations would be appreciated.

Electrician required that has knowledge of solar and a builder to do small jobs

Having been here a month, I’m wondering if there are any doggy activities that go on around the area, ie people doing dog walks, would like to meet like minded people, also to meet new people

We would like to offer a word of warning if considering using the services of The Metal Craftsman. We were asked to pay upfront 75% of the total cost of our project, which was a substantial amount of money, and this was for materials to be delivered to our site, with an estimate of 4 weeks for completion of the work. 

Ed Middleton became unreliable from the second day, and continued to be unreliable, so that the initial 4 weeks quoted was soon passed, causing us great distress, and upset.

No materials were ever delivered to site and if I ever questioned Ed as to the time scale it was taking it was clear to me that he took offence.

We had no choice but to continue with them, as they had our money and we wanted desperately to get our project completed, even though some of his work is of poor standard. We are left with an unfinished carport, a storage unit that leaks when it rains and a summer house not even started.

So please BE AWARE of paying any money upfront as both Ed Middleton and Mandy Moore are quite happy to take your deposit, and will not return it even when part of the job is left incomplete and the remainder not started.

They have been reported to the consumer office and now a law suit pending. 

If anyone else has suffered the same way, with their current business “The Metal Craftsman” or any of their previous ventures, such as the horse sanctuary, or horse boxes and trailers, pet transport etc also based at the same Buzon (PO Box) in Antas please get in touch with me and I can put you in contact with our lawyers.

Is there anywhere in Peurto lumbreros where I can get a P.O. Box , we will be living off grid, and the only one I can find is in Albox.

We are moving to Spain next month and have a non lucrative visa etc.  my son has decided to come with us. Will he need to have proof of sufficient savings or will ours be enough.  T I A 

We are travelling from uk through tunnel , through France then on to puerto lumbreras.  Can anyone tell me of any good places to stay on the way that will take 3 German shepherds
