The self diagnosis option was that anyone could download the NHS exemption certificate and claim exemption without any requirement for it to be validated by a doctor. Sadly I know people in the UK that took this option without any medical need and just because they didn’t want to wear a mask. They were boasting how easy it was. That option was not available in Spain. Hope that explains the use of the term self diagnosis?
