I normally use them too. Make sure you have full to full for fuel as the car hire co. will charge you a lot if yoinpay for it up front with them. I also always have free cancellation as prices can change a lot so I usually book at quite a high price and check regularly to see if they come down- cancel and then rebook again.
Take pictures of the car when you pick it up and if possible get them to check it while you are still there when you return it so you can answer any queries they may have
I've generally found Centauro good value and not had any problems with them.

Hi, having booked a lot of car hire over the last few months the prices are dropping as supply is building, i hired a care for 2nd June through to 6th June for €69 via Carjet (Doyouspain) at Alicante airport, tried via RMU but that is still extremely expensive at €170 for a weekend

Be careful when using Doyouspain .I hired van through them and flew from the UK with my son to move my furniture from Puerto de la Duquesa to Los Alcazares. Although I had paid for the van and had a contract there was no van and had to hire a removal company at a cost of €800. They refunded the cost of the van but refused any compensation towards the cost of the removal

Thanks for the replies, I’ve booked with Victoria cars, off airport shuttle service full/full. Car hire is a bit of a minefield I’m sure some forum users have had a bad experience with them at some point.
Got it for just over £500 for the two weeks thats a lot more than I’ve ever paid.
I’ll get independent excess cover, they will no doubt try and push theirs on me which can double the rental overall.
