Personally I would say it is not cost affective to bring a car over to Spain ... unless it is something special .. like a nice 4x4 ...the approximate cost to have a basic car replated is around €1500 ...plus lights if you need them ... Spanish cars are more expensive to buy but you will get a good price when you sell it on ..a RHDcar with Spanish plates tend to go very cheap.

Why are Spanish cars so expensive ? I have a Lexus LS430  2005  It took me a year to find it ..According to one US motoring magazine , it is arguably the best car ever made ..I am not going to sell it so I can have a little high mileage Seat for the same price .  Ridiculous

Funny how folk complain about low depreciation here, whereas in the UK the opposite happens. Buy a decent Spanish car and it will still have some value when you change it. It will also not have suffered from running over tons of grit and salt every winter (though you cannot guarantee the odd dent and scrape from parkers!).

You will also be sat on the correct side for good vision overtaking, and getting those little tickets out of parking machines and tolls.
