Hi I am looking at buying a motorcycle in the UK to put onto Spanish plates, the bike is two years old and is standard does anyone know exactly what I will have to do as I am being given a lot of conflicting information also the costs involved, or is there somewhere I can go to get the correct information. Thanks for any help.

Might be worth getting in touch with Debbie Shaw. She is on Camposol.

my friend has just gone through this with his Harley and it cost him a fortune ,well over 1000 euros you also have to have a Spanish ITV (mot) and if the bike is foreign it has to be put back to origanal condition so anything that's been added on has to come off bars ,panniers etc,Do yourself a favour and buy a Spanish registered over here ,far less hassle.

Hi i registered my FJR1300 over here and my TDM900 have you got the docs to check on the import tax ie v5 what headlight have you got in is it flat beam or not. and i have just registered a sab 95 for some i know, it is time consuming but i find cheaper in the long run if you are keeping the bike, and it`a bike you know.

I'm afraid it's not good.I sold my Yamaha 1300 Midnight star in the uk.it had aftermarket pipes Cobras. All the cost of finding some original exhaust taxes etc ITV compliance. The downside is not as many choices of bikes out here also they can be miles away.

I think I should have bit the bullet had it shipped out to Spain & done what was needed.Only because now I so miss the bike was the best cruiser I've ever had .would be very hard to find another one out here.Bikes seem to be very few compared th the uk.
