I had used Record Go regularly without any issues and had recommended them to others until an incident in August last year.
I had booked a car with Unlimited Mileage for a holiday of nearly 3 weeks. When I returned the car, we had done approx. 2,300km and I was told that I should have brought it back after 2000km to be 'checked'. To be fair this was buried in the small print, but was also ambiguous (the contract said this was dependent on the branch policy). They charged 2€ per 'excess km' and deducted over €600 from my credit card.
I disputed this at the time and later via a formal complaint. They did not address any of the points I raised but refused to refund the excess charge. Eventually, I was able to get a refund via my credit card company, but I was really angry and disappointed, as previously I was happy with the service they provided. I haven't used them since...
