how many people out there are having problems with owning your own houses ,, who do you trust ,, who not to trust ??, my wife and I are thinking of buying a house on the camposol development and would appreciate any info  from you guys and girls who live there.

The title deeds in Spain are referred to as a Escutura ...this must also be accompanied with a final building certificate referred to as a Fin de obra these are 2 separate documents...ask the estate agents for these 2 important documents before you look at any properties.

We used Mercers when we bought and they use English speaking solicitors and lawyers to ensure that everything is done above board (their reputation relies on this). My feeling is that most if not all reputable estate agents would also provide the same service as not so many corners are cut these days asa they were many moons ago

Personally, in general, I think buying a property in Spain is a lot safer than it used to be because of the previously known issues and fears
