Hi. Just read ur post. Im late 50s Single, Retired and thinking of moving permanently to Spain. Havent done much about it so far but need to look into it. Hoping to sell my House here in Southern Ireland and move then. What area would u recommend? Im look for quiet, Residential but near amenities and Beach. Wd like to join a few Classes too. Thanks in advance Miriam

Well,although Camposol  has a few problems, it is worth looking at.

Come, rent, holiday first, then decide.

You will need to look up the latest rules re living in Spain, monthly income, health care, residence etc.

Can be very complicated, and costly.

You state you currently live in Southern Ireland - if you have an Irish passport, it's actually a lot easier, due to freedom of movement in the EU rules. I don't know about healthcare, but you would only need to prove around €7,000 annual income (as compared to €26,000 for someone moving from the UK).
