Good morning, I stayed in Camposol in June as I wanted to check the area out for a future purchase. On I believe sector C or D there are an abundance of single storey houses (probably 2 bed) which look like they’ve been abandoned with doors kicked in etc. What’s the story with them as they look relatively new?

Regards

Mark

If they were near the perimeter road they’re on C & are bank repossessions - never been lived in & are currently being redeveloped & the bank sells them off in sections at a time.

If your a Britt you got no chance to purchase , if your a Spaniard you get first option , they in turn will sell for a massive profit.

I have tried many times to purchase properties but have never been successful even though my bid was the highest on all occasions.

I am however positive that if you persist for several years you will be successful.

This is Spain

Not sure why you say Brits have no chance of buying the properties - if we're talking about the Monsora bungalows at the bottom of C just as you come onto sector C - we bought one a little way up on Calle Retama last year and the ones at the bottom are now being marketed by Blue Med and Droom Huise Espana (think that's the right spelling!) - anyone can buy one!  There are also a number of similar bungalows at the top of sector D which appear to be being worked on at the moment - presumably they may be the next lot to be marketed.

Unless this is something new that we don't know of !!!!!!!!!!! We bought a bank repossession on sector C last year. We looked at a few properties on Camposol and a couple of more urbanisations, chose the one we liked, paid a deposit, and got our keys within 6 weeks and then the deeds within 2 months. We are British by the way.

I think you’re talking about the properties that were sold by auction for various reasons which are entirely different from the bank repossessions.

I was looking to buy properties to renovate then sell on , not buy renovated properties at inflated prices .

Been robbed of all fittings, just shells now ! Would be daft and a huge risk to buy in that area. Beware, Agents will tell you anything for a sale !

You will find the price for each property reflects its condition - some as you say have been vandalised - others are more complete though still 12 years old - actually quite a good thing to be able to see no settlement or cracks after 12 years - should give some confidence at least!
