It has been a dream of mine for many years to move to warmer climates and Spain in particular and I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel meaning it is finally becoming a reality. Having looked at many areas and matching it with our finances, it would seem that Camposol is perhaps the best place for us as the properties are not too badly priced but. I cannot afford to make mistakes and would like some advise on where in Camposol we should be looking. I know we really need to come over for a couple of weeks to check it all out but I don’t know where or how to start. Can anyone give me some advise on cheapish rentals of accommodation on the site and what to look for when buying be it good or bad pointers? I do hope this is a viable thing to do with Brexit looming perhaps someone can give me some info there too.  Thank you for reading this. Maxine and Paul

Hi we are in a similar position and have just come back from Mazarron where we have sorted out a 6 months rental. We met some great people who have lived there for 16,9 and 10 years so know what they're talking about and all said rent rent rent! Spain is definitely not like the UK where we sell for profit and move around a lot that's why people rent for while so go but rent till you're 100 percent on the area.

Thank you that is very helpful. I did suggest that to my husband but he said what happens when the money runs out. Which is fair comment   I do think it’s worth thinking about though

Have thought about renting out you're UK property before you make a permanent move if it doesn't work out you'd still have a house and the rent ud receive you can easily find a place in Spain from €350 euro per month?

In theory sound sbgood plan but who knows what I could come back to. My home could be ruined and also I need the money from the sale to be able to buy or rent in Spain   I do think we will definitely rent for at least a few months before buying anything. But thank you for your input  it allways helps to have options.

We bought a place on Camposol 3 years ago initially as a holiday home but with a view for semi retirement in a couple of years time and we have no intention at all of selling our property in England, although it is our intention to downsize and use the remaining equity to part fund the retirement

We came, we looked and bought all in one weekend and really love the place. Great people, great atmosphere and really lovely warm weather - exactly what we wanted. Most people would advise to rent just to see if the area is suitable for you and just to get a general feel for the area.

Camposol is centrally located with Mazaron and the port only a 15 minute drive away or there is a bus service so the beach is easily accessable

We cannot wait to move out and spend many months in Camposol and I guess if we are honest our only concern is that while we love the sun and holidays, actually living in the sun for months at a time may take some adjusting too but the reality is that this is what we have always wanted so we intend to make it work
