Hi

Can anyone who has recently returned to the Uk from Spain with Ryan Air please tell me what Covid test is acceptable for the airline, ie PCR, ANTIGEN, LAMP etc.

Also where I can book required test and how far in advance of flight is needed, I’m due to fly to Belfast on 19th July which is a Monday and don’t want to arrive at the airport only to be told I can’t fly because I have taken the wrong test.

Also please don’t suggest I look on Ryan Air website as I have already done this and I’m more confused now than I was before I looked, it would be really helpful if the correct information was supplied by someone who has flew back to Belfast or mainland Uk recently.

Many thanks in advance.

John

Hi there,

Flew back into Manchester with Ryanair on 16th June. Had a pre-flight Covid test at Camposol Health Centre the day before - cost 40euros, I think. Booked the test with the HC the day before and waited for the result. It all took 10 minutes then went downstairs to the reception for a Certificate. All no problem. I also pre-booked the 2nd day and 8th day test with Randox and used the Ryanair discount code - cost for both the 2nd and the 8th day test was 86 euros. I chose to complete and download the required details online which when we were going through customs at Manchester had been electronically downloaded to them and saved us the extra time that many of our fellow passengers needed to provide the info at customs. By the way when we returned home we were contacted daily by the "tracking team" and also had 2 separate day visits from agents so take your isolation seriously.

Hope it helps. I'm desperate to get back.

Hi John

we flew with Ryanair into Belfast International airport a few hours ago (Monday). Our flight was at 18.15 and we got an antigen test last Friday at 19.00 (didn’t have the option of a weekend test)…..test was €30 and like the other poster said our certificates were issued within 15 mins.

When checking in at Alicante airport you have to show your passport, your Passenger Locator Form and your test certificate and of course proof of the 2 tests (unless you are transitioning through NI to Ireland, if you are you are exempt from the 2nd and 8th day tests).

Good luck with it.
