White vinegar, juice of a lemon, or if really bad agua fuerte, diluted and used with great care (keep an eye on it and make sure plenty ventilation!)

We used a Brita filter jug or a Brita tap when in Andalucía, but just use tap water here with no problems.

Hi,

Soak your kettle in vinegar overnight, it does wonders. Try the Chinese outlets for de-scaling tablets for the washing machine.

                                                                                   Regards.

For washing machine, try half a cup of white vinegar and do a rinse cycle. Do one more normal rinse cycle after to clear any trace of it. Or use bicarbonate soda about 4 soup spoonfuls and the same procedure.

Here in Kent, it is terrible, esp., our kettle, we use vinegar every 2 weeks and it cleans the lime scale within 5 minutes. Good luck
