With the bars so far away I’m surprised no one has opened their underbuild as a private drinking club.

You don’t actually buy the drinks they are bought from your membership based on your drinking habits with a small extra amount covering room cost etc.

So when you attend you have those drinks based on a book system like people keep a tab in Officers or SNCO messes.

Sadly honesty bars don’t always work as when people are drunk they forget to pay.

Would also perhaps help with someone’s bills if it was their underbuild, people would also get to know their neighbours.

Safety you wouldn’t have to drive

Only a thought!

Really - I so don't think I would want strangers getting pie eyed on my property - go sit on the campo if your needs are that strong. Having said my piece I can understand your sentiments but there are people on D that organise events for people to get together. Good luck with your quest.

I support your idea, although I wil not be able to assist in person for the time being.

If a possibility arises to establish a local (small) pubnon sector D, I might be willing to invest (partly).

Shouldn't DRIVING home from a bar be discouraged? Or should a couple who would normally enjoy sharing a bottle of table-wine at home together, but would like to socialise with like-minded neighbours now-and-then, be obliged to take-turns on being the D.D?

I think the OP's suggestion was for a PRIVATE Members CLUB, where all members are KNOWN and registered, NOT a wild bunch of Yobbo's disturbing the peace!

Although I am not entirely convinced that it would work, myself, even if it were a fully detached and widely-spaced property. Perhaps it should still be a Private Members Club, but in purpose-built sound-proofed commercial premises, 20 or 30mtrs away from the nearest house! Perhaps next door to the `Suggested New-Laundry'?

I guess there are many option but only if people are prepared to invest. Comes back to the opening of the hotel may open a number of new opportunities for people to explore

Must admit that I would not like people/starngers around my house every night just drinking. No matter how good the intention at some point it goes wrong...?
