We are looking at doing the residencia in Spain. My solicitor could do it & has given me the cost for us both. I thought I would ask around for any recomendations before I part with hundreds of pounds thankyou.

Whoever you use could not possibly charge that much! Have a look on here for recommendations for a gestor.
IMHO you should only use a solicitor if you need to sue somebody, or are arrested!
Actually we used a solicitor when we bought our property?...Has also given us a cost of doing residencia. So I was asking for recomendations. Think you missed the point.
We both used Antonio at PALS solicitors and I think it cost €60 each - our friend used him too. PALS gets you an appointment and Antonio meets you at the alotted place.

You are so right, just check online for step by step idiots guide to sorting out such things, I think the cost of residencia is approx €10.50 if you sort it yourself.
Citizen Advise Spain has all the information required to carry out this procedure.
