The best thing to do is contact your insurance company to ask them I would have thought.

We have similar - uk-reg car in uk, insured in UK, English residents of Spain, address declared as in Spain to make it legal and honest, with location of where car is kept in UK declared. It took some digging around for a broker that would handle insurance as none of the websites would quote us, but we got there.

Cover is expensive (2 drivers mid-70s, 1.4 Corsa, £516 with £200 excess) but totally legal.

Do not lie when taking out insurance as in the event of a claim they will not pay out, so running over the bread-winner of a family could present you with a bill of many millions of pounds!

I have the opposite situation. UK resident. Spanish registered car in Spain. UK licence. No problem with insurance as long as it is current for the categories you're driving.
