HELP im applying for a non lucrative visa and pulling my hair out.. does anyone know someone in the UK that could check my forms over for me before I go to the embassy. I’ve heard if you just answer one question wrong they will decline you. I can’t find any help anywhere. Please help me..

Hi Emma,

Look at the tips and guides tab at top for more info. We used a solicitor for all our paperwork cost us €1200 for the 2 of us, but worth every penny. Marriage Certificate, doctors medical certificate and ACRO need to be translated and legally certified. Bank statements/ income need to be stamped by bank. We handed in ours last Tuesday with no issues which was a great relief. Hope it all goes well.

Regards

Mick

Hi

We successfully completed the NLV process in May 2021.

Although I would say that I am quite confident and competent in completing forms, gathering evidence, etc.; as many forms needed to be completed in Spanish (and mine is very limited) we used a Spanish solicitor (Raquel at BeGlobal Attorneys) to assist in preparing all the paperwork, making the appointments, etc. both in the UK and in Spain - and we would certainly recommend her. Her details are as follows: (If you do contact her, please say that you were referred by Richard Tasker)

Raquel Moreno

Hope this helps!

thanks Emma

We will be going to the Manchester one I’m just struggling to get my head round it all. Who did you use for your medical insurance?

Hi Emma,

We used Salus. €1500 for the 2 of us. We are 50, and no health issues.

I don't know - I think they are immigration specialists.

I can recommend the UK lawyer who handled our purchase - Peter Esders at Judicare. He was more expensive, but very thorough and you deal with him and then he has a Spanish counterpart who does the work required in Spain.

For medical insurance, we used Sanitas, who are part of the BUPA group. We paid approx. £1,200 pa for the 2 of us (aged then 48 & 50, nil pre-existing conditions).
