Hi Lee

Sorry to ask further questions but can you confirm what type of block ?

Are they concrete or terracotta?

Are they solid blocks or ‘ hollow’ light weight blocks?

The reason I ask is I am looking to possibly fix on to the top of the walls and wondered if a solid and firm fixing is going to be possible as we want to raise the height of a couple of the walls

Hi, they are hollow terracotta.  I would not want to put much weight on top of them.

Cheers

Hi, like you, thinking of raising solarium walls 30cm or so. Although only a DIYer happy to have a go, have laid quite a few walls in the past. My plan is to use rebar studs embedded in the existing brickwork to key into the new courses.and possibly using strapping under the render as well. Glad of any advice from those that have the skills, thanks in advance.

Lee

Thanks for that

I was hoping to fix some network olates with a 50cm high composite fence post with composite fence slats

Do you think I can get bolt fixings in to the blocks that will get a good strong fixing ?
