We're coming at the beginning of July.
We'll be driving. Ferry to Santander, stay overnight, then drive to Camposol. We may break the drive and stop overnight en-route.
Our three dogs are used to travelling by car and will be with us almost all the time. Except for most of the ferry crossing.
We have bought tranquilliser gel to help keep them calm, as advised by our Vet.
The cost of the ferry for the two of us, three dogs and a car, was considerably less than paying to have the dogs shipped and two air fares + transfers from San Javier to Camposol.
The car will average well over 50 mpg.
It also means that we will have a car until our Spanish :LHD replacement arrives.

We always stop at the Tudanca Aranda hotel as you can have your dogs in the room with you. Its on the motorway at Km 153.

Hello
Thank you for the information. I’m new to this messaging just wondered what the approx cost is for the ferry 2pass and the 3 dogs and what port do you leave from for Santander . And how long does it take to get to camposal
Thank you
Our ferry cost with Brittany Ferries (Portsmouth to Santander) is £528.50 - Check out their website. Fares change for different dates.
For that we get a two berth cabin with en-suite facilities and kennels for the three dogs and the car shipped too.
The crossing time is approx 20 hrs.
Google thinks a drive from Santander to Camposol should take 8-9 hours. I've not done it yet, but have spoken with people who have said they did it in 10 hrs.
You should check out Google Maps.

We took the late afternoon ferry Portsmouth/Santander,it docks in around 18.00 the next day.we too had three dogs and travelled overnight to camposol,we stopped several times for the dogs to do their thing, grab a coffee etc. There are ample 24/7 services on route.the only thing I would advise is not to stop in the Madrid area late at night, make sure you have dog seatbelts, all the major pet stores sell them for around £10.if you want any more advice I would be happy for you to ring me via private message
