If mainland Spain is anything like the Canary Islands, to get into Spanish school which are free, you need to be paying tax etc, when we lived in Tenerife, our children went to Spanish nursery/schools because my husband had a business. This also entitled us to free medical care - I'm sure you will be able to find out more on Google.

Hi. We have had the same problem with our 13 year old nephew since we moved over at the end of October. We just found a very helpful lady in Balsicas near us that has sorted out our NIE numbers and getting us on the Padron. She contacted a local school in Sucina and he should be starting there within a month.
Thank u that’s helpful do I have a contact number for the person that helped uou
