Hi Any advice would help us, currently own property on camposol, in need of lot of tidying up as we haven' been out for a years, we want to come out soon and start the work. The water and electric is currently disconnected and would like to get it connected before our arrival so we could stay at the property. Could anyone advise if this is possible and who to contact? We have been disconnected for about 6 years. Thanks in advance

Six years is a long time ...a lot of things have changed on Camposol ...Massa the builders have gone bankrupt ...and the appointed liquidation company have claimed ownership ...and auctioned off abandoned  properties when the original owner's failed to pick up the Escutura (Deeds) as a Massa asset... if you are one of these people that did not pick up the Escutura and start paying IBI (council tax) then you will have more than connection of the meters to be concerned about ...if you do have the Escutura then the only things you will have to pay for is the back dated( IBI )and the meters to be reconnect ...to get the water meter reinstated you will have to take proof of ownership to the Water company in person  and do the same with the Electric company ...once you have done this it can take up to 2 months for new meters to be installed ...you will also need to give you bank details and set up standing orders as required....(you can also appoint a Solicitor to do this for you at cost)...good luck.

You are not going to be able to do any of this from the UK yourselves.

If you have a solicitor & they have a Power Of Attorney they will be able to do everything for you.
