Personal alarm bracelet/necklace

I've not heard of those, but I have been looking at the following:

This system seems to be pretty comprehensive - however, I live in a remote & hard to find location and they couldn't guarantee that they would be able to find my property or guide someone to it...

There is quite a bit to read through and some documents that you need to download in Spanish and then translate to English (if required), but I think it's around €27 - €30 per month.

We bought a unit from Ebay that does this role.

It works with a SIM in it and when pressed sends text messages to 4 people.  I think it cot about £100, and then a monthly cost of a sim contract.

Whilst I can see that that is useful, the Cruz Roja system also includes a geo-locator, so the operators know where the person is (if for example, they have a fall away from their home) and they can be instructed to send an ambulance whenever the button is pressed - whereas, presumably, with the one that you have seen on Ebay, the family member would have to call an ambulance, etc. themselves, with further complications if the relatives are in the UK and/or don't speak Spanish...
