Thank you for this so we travel back on a Thursday if I have the cheaper test done on the Tuesday and pick the result up on Weds that will be enough to fly back to Manchester?

If you do the Antigen test I understand that you have the result within 15 mins. Not sure when the paper result would be ready for that one though. I'm sure other forum members will know though.

Actually Clare22 addresses this. You've probably read it.

Just to confirm that we were handed our antigen certificate in San Javier within 10-15 minutes of having the test.

Hi Trevor, I can only comment on what we did in the medical centre in San Javier.  I would certainly suggest you go to the test centre and book your antigen test no later than the Friday before you fly.  If you were to book a test for the Tuesday before you fly that would be fine. We we...

...re given our certificate after just a 10 minute wait so even a test on the Wednesday would be ok.

We showed the receptionist our flight details when booking and she gave us the appointment rather than us requesting a particular day for the test.

Clare

Thanks Claire that’s great

Hi all, does anyone know if the clinic in San Javier is open over the weekend? As our flight home to Dublin is Tuesday morning at 10am from Alicante so we need to leave really early that morning, and we need a PCR to fly into Ireland 😡 they don’t accept antigen. The previous Friday would be too early.

Thanks

Julie

Hi, I returned yesterday from Spain. I ordered Qured LFT and took with us. You arrange a zoom meeting before you go too. All pretty simple. A certificate was issued through email about 15 mins after the timed test.

I ordered the day 2&8 PCR tests with Citydoc. I got 35% off so for the two of us it cost £240 in total. Whatever you do, make sure you get your reference numbers before you leave for Spain. You will need this for your locator form. I ended up on the phone to them for about 45 mins before I got through. It was very stressful getting everything linked up and validating all the documents online, but well worth it. Enjoy your stay in your new home.🏡

Hi Trevor, we have just returned to England after a trip to San Javier to check up on our apartment.

Just something to think about with regards to booking your day 2 and day 8 tests for return to the UK. We booked ours a few weeks before travelling to Spain.  On the Gov website all the private test providers are listed in price order and the prices vary enormously.  Most of the cheaper...

... tests were saying they were sold out.  It is best to look each morning as some release more as they become available.  We paid £80 each for the two tests.

We had antigen tests to return home to England which were done in San Javier at a cost of €30 each. We had to book the tests in person with our passports and flight details. We did this on the Friday and were given our tests on the following Wednesday and were flying on the Thursday. We were given our test certificate after just a 10 minute wait.

Hope this information helps.

Clare

So you had the test on Friday but got the results on Wednesday. This is 5 days not 72 hours. How can this be valid and accepted? Anyone could catch the virus within those 5 days! It shows that the whole thing has become a money- making scheme...and an expensive one too!

Hi Clare22. Can you tell me whereabouts in San Javier is the clinic situated and do you know the name of it? As we need to organize tests when we get there.

Thanks in advance

Julie
