Hi guys

I am looking at car rental in October  for 18 days. We usually go with ok car rental and take out premium cover.  So we dont have to leave card  on file. Prices are rediculas being quoted 800 euro.

Any suggestions of where else to try.

Thanks

Catherine

Try www.doyouspain.com they are a broker and prices don't seem too bad from October onwards.

Car rental prices are all a lot higher this year as the companies appear to be trying to recover their losses from the last 18 months, plus many have cut their fleet sizes.

If you're 18 days crosses with the UK school half-term periods, then you're back into Peak dates / rates, too.

We have used Centauro and sometimes if you get part way through a quote and then quit, they send you an email with a 20% or 30% discount code.

We also previously used DoYou Spain - and have noticed that their range of companies has more than halved this year.

Avoid Goldcar & Interrent.

Hope this helps!

Hi Catherine,

I've found Carjet.com quite useful in the past... it's akin to a price comparison site :)

Regards

Tony
