Hi, I’m with Bankia in lo pagan & the service is non existent, my card has stopped working & they told me I have to go to los alcazares to find the problem which means €30 odd on taxi fare & hope they’ll get it sorted- I’m thinking of changing banks- anyone have experience with banks in lo pagan or San Pedro?

Hi Robin

I bank with Bankia and I have used their telephone service, which worked for me and it was regarding my card.  Their answering service said it was busy and asked me to leave a message and contact number, they would ring me back, which they did after 5 in the evening.  Maybe try this first

Hi Robin

We bank with La Caxia who have many branches throughout the Murcia region we do not pay for our cards nor do we pay any bank charges.

Charges were  discussed on opening our accounts. we said we would not open unless we had no charges this was agreed.Occasionally they do try to slip an odd charge in but as soon as we tell them it is cancelled.

I transfer money on a regular basis from the Uk using Transfer wise and have no problems whatsoever

Ask them and see..

Hope this may help

Ed

PS by the way been with them for over 20 years

Hi

I use Sabadell. On opening the account they gave me a debit card credit card and sin card. This would be impossible in the UK when first opening an account. They have a few branches in Puerto and the one near to the eurospar has english speaking staff and are super helpful.

Thank you for the complement Steve much nearer 70 than 60 now.

I don't know if you still bank with La Caxia in Camposol or not but charges in Spanish banks are the decision of the manager, I now bank with them in Murcia city but know people in La Ribera who use them and again pay no charges.

Ask them why you pay and see what they say.

KKind regards

Ed
