Storm Damage advice

Since buying our property which has a flat roof solarium we have been plagued with leaks each time there is significant rainfall. We have reseated the roof and had new largers pipes installed however we are still having water pour into one of the bedrooms. We have been advised we can’t claim on our buildings and contents cover which I find really strange. Has anyone had similar issues as I’m at a loss how to rectify the problem. Thanks in anticipation.
