Los Cuarteros or Santiago De Ribera ?

Hi John , i have a house in Los Cuateros.

I think its a great place.its near all shops 2 mins to beach which is always being cleaned.has good bars and restaurants .Good walking and cycling as well.i looked on line and seen the terrible flooding that hit many ares had in the costa calida  but my  street had no water damage at all.hope this helps.

Thanks, thats a cosideration that I forgot, is the flooding a semi regular thing or a once in a lfetime event. Also are there squeares with cafes to sit down and while away the hours., I am at risk of spending my life driving around the area on Google Streetview. Is it mainly Spanish and what is the social scene for both expats and mixing of expat/spanish.

I think the flooding  will be one of these things that happen now and again.there are lots of places to sit and have coffee.along the front is nice looking on to the mar menor.there is a lovely park in los cuateros which is open  for coffee drinks and food  from easter.its great in the summer when its warm as the trees give you shade and a breeze. It is mostly a spanish area but there is more expats now.there is a few english bars and can even get day  coach trios   to get you out and about.anything elsa just ask 

It appears to be becoming more regular.  We bought in 2016 and have experienced 3 gota frias
