Can any one help me by recommending a Spanish insurance company that I can get to quote for buildings and contents for my 2 bedroom apartment . I assume it is better to have a Spanish insurance company rather than get a Uk company to quote. Any advice would be welcome

I used liniadirect and have done for many years I I unfotunatly had a couple of claims last year but of course not reading the small print the problems were not covered, ☹However after speaking to their customers service department and being polite to them they agreed to pay 🙂
I Also Have my car insured with them and over the years have had to call them out for breaking down and broken windscreen paid out no problem. This year my car insurance renewal price was €326 I told them too much and after some bantering had it reduced to €250 fully comprehensive.
One thing I will say never accept their first quote also remember if you are in an apartment complex your building should be covered by the Community insurance

have a look at mapfre based in San Javier, they speak English.
