Cajamar Wefferent account is used by many on this forum.

As a non resident you will have to go into a branch office to open an account.

Why not just open a Wise.com euro account & pay all your DD from that ??

Thank you for your reply -I am not sure which is best for me ? Can you pay your Spanish bills from Wise ? Will you have to go to Iberdola and Aqualia to set up the DD? I usually go to the Spanish bank and pay the wealth tax once a year as I do it myself … can you pay this from Wise and Cajamar online ? Thank you 

What are the charges using Wise ? 

Yes you can pay all your Spanish Direct Debits & any other bill using the Wise euro account.

You can change some of the utility direct debits online / some by email & some by going into the offices.

Some of the Spanish companies will tell you that you have to use a Spanish bank account or Spanish IBAN code.

This is absolutely wrong & is actually against the law.

There are no charges for using Wise.com other than a very small charge when you convert GBP to Euro.

If you go to Wise.com website all the info is there.

You can see exactly what the charge will be for moving money.

Unlike some currency converters that require lots of personal info & a login just to see their rates.

The only snag with Wise.com is their debit card.

You can use it for purchases in all shops etc with no charge BUT if you try to withdraw euro's from an ATM the ATM machines will make a charge.

Yes a wise account can be very useful for transferring money at an excellent rate, have used them since they first started.

However if you wish to make a withdrawal from an ATM you will be charged.

The Wefferent account is excellent, pay all your direct debits withdraw cash and have all the normal online banking functions at no cost.

I would just like to add that we too opened a wefferent online account , after being charged ridiculous money every month with Sabadel. NO charges whatsoever with the wefferent account  and no atm charges either . IF there is a slight niggle it is if you  are unable to complete an online transfer yourself and need help in the bank then a small charge is incurred for that .
