Yes I know it is located in Belgium.

The IBAN code begins with BE.

Yes, I have also been told the same by my solicitor.
I have explained that other non residents are using the transferwise border account to pay their direct debits and asked her to look into it.

The Spanish are very protective of their own industries & as such will try & fob you off with inaccurate information.

I suppose it is one way of protecting jobs in their banking industry.

I completely agree and would really like to integrate although when you get bank charges which are unnecessary it becomes a little annoying!

I have been trying for months to set up the DD payment of the IBI via transferwise without any success. I too am a non resident and have had property in Spain for 18 years.

you are absolutely right, transferwise has virtual branches everwhere, i use it for everything in spain and also for my other place in the USA...

it is  anew way of banking and has NO branches

it has IBAN and account details for spain, france, italy etc etc...

the other gret new 'unicorn ' is revolut
