Just buy a Spanish laptop and change system  language to English. All letter keys will be in the same place, main difference will be the @ key, shift 2 for that on my keyboard, same as on macbooks. Different makes of machine/keyboard often have the other keys in different locations so a bit ...

...of familiarisation is usually to be expected. Whilst at it, do you need windows? I've been playing round with a chromebook build on a spare machine and finding it very good for day to day use, great battery life and added bonus of not padding out Microsoft's bank account.

The Tech Shop on Camposol Sector A has keyboard overlay stickers.

As Philtox said, just set Windows 10 to English language & set the Keyboard to UK English. If you buy a new laptop, it will come with Windows 10 pre-installed, but you will have to configure it. One of the very first steps is country selection.

Alternatively, just buy a new keyboard & use the stickers to relabel it.

My husband bought a Windows 10 from Amazon.co.uk last week and there were no extra charges on it.

You could very possibly get an invoice for the import duty at a later date.

This is what I am keen to avoid - the uncertainty, and the charges for a 700/800 Euro import!

Could you not get one from the Republic of Ireland? Am assuming there won't be import taxes as they are EU and it will have an English keyboard , just the shipping costs. Maybe look at Amazon for a distributor in RoI. Just a thought.

There is no amazon.ie. The market is too small, and the whole amazon thing is snarled up with corporate tax fiddles and complications. They would have to have Gaelic versions to justify setting up a separate outlet.

Another thought from my previous response, have you asked on the Dell website, wether you would have to pay a tax surcharge, if so how much?

I have just had one delivered from the USA. To enable quick delivery, the courier company pay the duty and then send an invoice later. Mine arrived after about a week.

Hi but do you know how much the duty will be? Will the courier charge extra for payments they made for you.?
